Season 4 Casting News

Citing budgetary reasons, Eric Kripke was announced that the actress Katie Cassidy will not be returning for the 4th season of Supernatural. Cassidy

[season 3 spoiler text hidden]

Kripke did not specifically state that Cassidy's character, demon Ruby, was “dead”. So, it is still possible that Ruby could return in another form despite her apparent death in the season 3 finale.

While some have expressed dismay at this news, it is really not surprising to us longtime fans of the show. Supernatural has a tradition of killing off it's recurring characters. At least Ruby went out on a high note and didn't just vanish from the show like Jo and Ellen did.

Yea!!!!! I was bored with her anyway, like JO they were to young and unbelievable. But what about DEAN????!!!!haha

Won’t miss her, myself. Not only too young, fought in high heels without tying her hair back, and pulled magic tricks out of a hat. She dumbed down this great show that had a precedence of information gathering and studying to resolve problems. Need one last episode to wrap-up Ruby’s story arc and reveal true motive behind “helping” Sam, though.

What about Dean, indeed!!! Fingers crossed for good things to happen come Fall.

i got to admit at first i didnt pay much attention about this series back then..but now i almost got fired arguing how good the show is..some (demon) officemate wont agree with me..anywayz, it doesnt really matter who will play the role of ruby as long as the producer hire’s hot chick..as long as dean and sam stays (jared & jensen)

oops!..the series is great!..how about making a movie ERIC?

Hot chicks guaranteed on the CW…and hot guy too, thankfully. Love SPN, but it may not be suitable topic for office. Too many people averse to show that touches on occult because of fears or strong religious belief. Centuries back, these people label you a heretic and stone you to death…much like office politics today :-)
FYI. Eric signed a 2-year contract with CW, so probably won’t make movie soon. Thanks much for commenting. Keep watching!!

yea i agree with everyone else…ruby wasnt what i would have liked her to be…i thought dean was the coolest person ever so i wanna know if he is gonna come back and help sam or just come back at all…we need answers about it…what about dean!!!!!

It looks like they killed Dean off in the last episode of season 3 which was upsetting as he was my favourite character (he’s cool and kick’s ass). I just hope he doesn’t return like a randol and hopkirk type of thing, we want him back living and breathing hopefully not as a demon which he hates with a passion.

Good things to come, we’ll just have to wait and see.

i think all the comments about ruby being to young that is bullshit she is a demon of course she will go into a younger body no one of thi ng would want to be a granny or someshit

^^hahaha..true true, why would anyone wanna be a granny lol…
But like Dean said “if i were to come back as a demon i would wanna be a hot chick” or something like that lol..But anyways..this show is quite interesting..at first i didn’t watch it but now i like it…as for Ruby…she was definitely hot, she’s is a gorgeous girl…

Katie Cassidy played ruby really well i liked her sarcasm she was one one the best characters on the show and now she has possessed a new body her new Character doesn’t play her as good!!

Katie Cassidy did play Ruby well, But hopefully she’ll be back at least to put an end to how she is supposed o be “helping” Sam, If she is he’ll really need help when he face Lucifer in Season 5.
