• FanFiction.Net

  With over 10,000 SPN fan fiction that are filterable by date, category, and rating, this is the largest, most well-organized source of SPN fan fiction around. Muck warning: You have to wade through a lot a trash and sewage to get to the good stuff. Fortunately, Fanfiction.net provides a moderated community, called C2, that enables authors to list their favorites stories and to group those stories by theme. I am happy to say that this community helps me keep my feet clean when visiting this site.

• Supernaturalville: Unscripted Genius

  A well-organized Supernatural fanfic archive and home of the Supernatural Virtual Seasons. Contains close to 2000 fics that are grouped by category and filterable by ratings and status.

• Twisting the Hellmouth

  A Buffy/Angel fan fiction archive containing over 275 Supernatural crossover fics for those who like both series. It also includes a small amount of standalone SPN fics and a few SPN/Other-tv-show crossovers.

• Fan fiction by K Hanna Korossy

  A strong emphasis on family is prevalent in Ms. Korossy’s work. She does a very nice job of portraying the brothers familial relationship. As of 3/12/07, there are over 70 SPN stories on her web site. Most are “missing scenes” or episode tag stories and there are over 20 individual short stories as well.

• A Black-Winged Bird Fanfiction

  This author’s site has over 50 well-written, mostly light-hearted Sam and Dean stories. There are a mixture of wee (young) Winchester fics, episode tag fics, and general fics that give us a snapshot of brother’s sibling relationship. Most of these fics are quite good.

• Fan fiction by Faye Dartmouth

  Ms. Dartmouth’s excellent writings is focused on angsty Sam, though she does write from Dean’s and John’s point of view as well. As of 3/12/07, she has published 44 SPN fics on Fanfiction.Net. Warning, some of her stories will have you in tears. They are that good.

• Fan ficlets by Eloise Bright

  The nicely written short works by this British author are both humerous and heart wrenching. As of 3/12/07, she has published over 100 SPN fan fiction stories that are mostly young (wee) Winchester and episode tag fics.

• Plastic!Winchester Theater

  The hilarious adventures of Sam and Dean as Barbie action figures in picspam format, by Anteka. There are 2 seasons and a total of 26 episodes, plus plenty of outtakes and behind-the-scenes extras as of 12/27/06. I am happy to say, my favorite character, plastic!John survives the season 2 premiere in the plastic!verse. Muck warning: some of these tales come close enough to the sewer to get a whiff of it, but don’t actually drop into it… well, except for that one episode, literally.

• The Dean Show Comics

  Adorable and funny Chibi comics of Dean and Sam by Olga Bosserdt. As of Mar 1, 2007, there are 22 issues.
